WHY LEARN BULGARIAN?

1. Bulgaria is the oldest country in Europe.
2. Bulgaria invented the Cyrillic alphabet, and Bulgaria is one of the very few countries worldwide that created an alphabet. Only a handful of countries created an alphabet — Greece, Ancient Rome, China.
3. Cool movie characters speak Bulgarian, like Tom Hanks in The Terminal (his wife Rita Wilson is Bulgarian), let's not forget Nina Dobrev from The Vampire Diaries, and even Sandra Bullock speaks Bulgarian! 
4. When traveling, Bulgarians can discuss whatever they want without other people understanding them. That's an advantage. If you are Spanish and you are traveling to the Caribbean Islands for example, everyone nearby can understand what you are saying.
5. Bulgarian is very close to the Russian, Macedonian, Serbian, Croatian, Slovenian, Czech, Slovak, Polish and Ukrainian languages. The Bulgarian language is a very solid base to start if you're gonna learn other Eastern European languages later.

HOW DIFFICULT IS TO LEARN?

Bulgarian is easier to learn than German and French, but more difficult than English and Spanish. You will probably need a tutor.
